The Anthony M. Dipace Field

Teitsch-Kent-Fay Architects and our consultants have spent most of 2023 working with the Sharon Springs Central School District on their latest Capital Improvements Project. The centerpiece of this project is a new soccer facility: including spectator seating and a surrounding walking path. On Friday September 19, the District held their annual Homecoming Celebration, which Brian and Dan were invited to attend. This event included a parade of all the District’s team members through town and a bonfire at the athletic complex. At the conclusion of the presentation of the District’s various soccer teams on the new field, Superintendent Thomas Yorke led the District in a special ceremony to dedicate this new facility to our dear friend, Mr. Anthony (Tony) DiPace.

Tony has previously served as the President of the Board of Education, and is currently the Sharon Springs School District’s Business Manager. As Business Manager, Tony has worked tirelessly planning, developing, and managing this Capital Project. The soccer field is particularly close to his heart because, in addition to the positions noted above, he coached Boys’ Soccer from 2003 to 2013 and Girls’ Varsity Soccer from 2014 to 2019.

At the Homecoming the administration and students surprised Tony with the new sign, designating the field as the “Anthony M. DiPace Field”. Tony was deeply humbled and moved by this honor, however, it is richly deserved for his many years of devoted service to the District.
