St. Patrick’s Handicapped Access Addition, Binghamton, New York

Teitsch-Kent-Fay Architects, P.C. designed the handicapped accessible West Entrance to the Historic St. Patrick’s Church on Leroy Street, in Binghamton New York.  This new entrance addition consists of:

- ADA compliant entrance ramp to allow access to the main Nave Level

- ADA compliant Family Assist toilet facility to permit easier access, and create a more welcoming environment.

- Integration of historic artifacts such as carved marble altar gates, and stained glass windows to allow the new addition to fit harmoniously with the existing, adjacent, historically significant spaces.

Careful selection of materials, both interior and exterior, to match or maintain the character of the existing structure.
