The purpose of the new Parish Center for St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Baldwinsville, New York, was to:
• Consolidate the disparate offices of the parish into one central building.
• Provide a more secure central entrance to the facility.
• And strengthen the relationship between the Church and the School.

St. Mary Parish Center

Baldwinsville, New York

The project includes a handicapped-accessible lift connecting both floors of the existing school building, as well as installation of handicapped-accessible restroom facilities. The new Parish Center was conceived as a linking building, providing access to both the church and the school, thereby uniting all elements. As such, it was designed to harmonize with both while fitting on the constrained site between them. Gable ends, constructed of stone, echo the lines of the church, while the brick exterior translates well to the existing brick school
