Waterville Family Health Center

The new building shares an entry, lobby, and waiting space with the existing health center. Each facility can be operated independently and securely from the other. The program for the new facility consisted of the following:

• Five exam rooms, including one procedure room.

• Two offices for health care providers.

• Business office and medical records storage room.

• Nurses’ station.

• Clean and soiled linen spaces.

The new facility was specifically designed to meet the code requirements of a limited downtown site. Additionally, the slope roof elements were introduced to mark the entry and transition between the existing building and the new facility. The “porch” element was incorporated into the design to allow safe and protected passage, from the municipal parking area in the rear, to the main entrance of both clinic facilities.
